Supporting palliative care

Date:

The 24th Annual Red River Valley Palliative Care Butterfly Golf Tournament was a resounding success, raising upwards of $15,000. Forty-two golfers came out to the Emerson Golf Course Sept. 8 to take part in the nine-hole tournament. The top foursome (shown above) was Brian Heppner, Ed Hayden, Kyle Hayden and Aleron Alexander,  but prizes also went to the winners of the putting contest and closest to the pin (Mark Rodewald for both), longest drive (Jean Mackie and Alan Clayton), along with numerous draw and raffle winners.

Organizers send thanks out to all the volunteers, golfers, and local business sponsors who make this event possible every year. Thanks to this tournament, support for palliative care families, a library, Shining Lights, volunteer education, grief support as well as several other programs are made available in our region.
