Dance in the Park brings students together through music

Date:

More than 300 students from École R.W. Bobby Bend joined their teachers at Memorial Park on Friday for the school’s third annual Dance in the Park event. Led by Mr. Powell, the flashmob-style celebration showcased a variety of dance styles, including cultural and traditional performances, each paired with music that reflected its story and origins. Students danced in groups, using movement to express their appreciation for music while celebrating creativity, culture and community. The annual event provided an opportunity for students to share their talents and learn about different forms of dance in an outdoor setting.
