The Stonewall Rockwood Firefighters Association raised approximately $10,000 during its third annual Backdrafts ‘N Brews fundraising evening held June 5 at the Stonewall Legion. More than 300 people attended the event, which featured samples from 18 beverage vendors offering a variety of brews and coolers. Guests also had the opportunity to test their putting skills at Prairie Putt Mobile Mini Golf, while the canteen was operated by the local Terry Fox Run committee.
The evening included prize draws, with five attendees taking home prizes donated by local businesses. Organizers said the event serves as an important fundraiser for the association while bringing the community together for an evening of food, drinks and entertainment.
