MSCT stick curling bonspiel held in Marquette

Date:

The Stonewall Kinettes hosted a 32-team, two-person stick spiel at the Marquette Curling Club from Jan. 22–25.

The bonspiel was part of a larger initiative by the Manitoba Stick Curling Tour (MSCT), which champions two-person stick curling across Manitoba. Ross MacMillan and Blair Myskiw won the first event; middle photo, Blair Coggan and Larry Klimpke captured the second event and Judy and Bill Kitching claimed the third event title.

The MSCT accumulates and summarizes points awarded throughout the curling season. Following the final qualifying event, the tour will identify men’s, women’s and mixed team champions, with those teams earning entry into the MSCA provincial championships. The mixed provincial championship will be played in Stonewall from Feb. 20–22, while the men’s and women’s provincial championships will be held in Beausejour from Feb. 27 to March 2.
