Strikers U14 league champions

The U14 Stonewall Strikers capped off an impressive season by winning the championship at the Red River Recreational Soccer League playoff tournament in Selkirk this past weekend. The Strikers entered the tournament after posting an 11-1 regular-season record and went undefeated through four playoff games to claim the gold medal. Stonewall opened the tournament Saturday with a 3-0 victory over St. Andrews before defeating Stonewall Blue 5-1 later in the day. On Sunday, the Strikers advanced to the final with a 5-1 semifinal win over East Selkirk Lightfoot. They then secured the championship with a 2-0 victory over East Selkirk Jackson. Stonewall’s U14 Blues team also enjoyed a strong tournament, earning the bronze medal.
